The Baromi Centre

 

MAIN HALL

The Baromi Centre offers a spacious venue ideal for any event. It features a stage, kitchen, many tables and seats, and essential amenities like a projector with HDMI and speakers, whiteboards, a portable TV with HDMI and speakers, heating and cooling, plus accessible male, female, and baby change facilities. Parking is easily accessible to the centre, with two disabled parks. Click to view

MEETING SPACE

A small private room is available by request. It’s mainly a reformer studio but has a table and chairs for two-person meetings. Allied Health professionals can use the reformers and equipment for patients. Entry is through the main hall or from the rear if the hall is busy. Access is by a coded keypad, given when the booking is confirmed. Click to view

KITCHEN

The Baromi Centre Kitchen offers: a medium fridge for event food storage, a gas oven & stove, plenty of plates, cutlery, & glasses (water, wine, some champagne), tea & coffee facilities (urn & kettle), large preparation counters, service window to the hall, a sink with washing supplies (no dishwasher), oven trays, serving platters, and more. The Baromi Centre is located at 38 Couper Street, Mirboo North and is within a short stroll to Ridgway (main street), Baromi Park, The Recreation Reserve and the Grand Ridge Rail Trail.

HIRE COSTS & AGREEMENTS

    • $22 per hour

    Special rates may be available on request for multi-day hires.

    This pricing is applicable to bookings within standard operating hours (6am-10pm); a surcharge may apply for events held outside of these hours.

    • $27.50 per hour

  • Payments are required upon confirmation that the space has been booked.

    Deposits (where applicable) will be refunded upon confirmation that the space has been left as required in the Terms and Conditions of Hire.

FAQS

  1. Are all areas of the Baromi Centre available to hire?

    Hirers can book the Main Hall (which includes access to the kitchen) or the Meeting Room. Storage space may be available to hire for regular user groups of the Baromi Centre under an individual arrangement.

  2. Do I require my own public liability insurance to hire the Baromi Centre?

    As per our Terms, the space is to be used at the Hirer’s own risk.   Businesses and community organisations are required to hold public liability insurance to cover their use of the building, evidence of which will be  provided upon request.  We recommend that individuals hold public liability insurance but it is not mandatory.
